Pamela Dellal, mezzo-soprano, has performed under William Christie, Christopher Hogwood, and Seiji Ozawa as soloist with such renowned ensembles as the Handel & Haydn Society, Boston Baroque, Aston Magna, the Lydian String Quartet, Emmanuel Music, the Dallas Bach Society, the Tokyo Oratorio Society, and at the Boston Early Music Festival. She has been featured by The Opera Company of Boston/Opera New England, The Red House Opera Group, Opera Aperta, Ocean State Lyric Opera and Prism Opera in leading roles in the operas Albert Herring, Dido and Aeneas, Cos" Fan Tutte, Vanessa, The Rape of Lucretia, and others. As a member and Acting Director of Sequentia's women's ensemble Vox Feminae, Ms. Dellal has made numerous recordings of the music of Hildegard von Bingen, and has toured the U.S., Europe, and Australia. She is a founding member of the Boston-based trio Favella Lyrica and a regular soloist in the renowned Bach Cantata series presented by Emmanuel Music. Her broad repertoire includes concert works like the Bach Passions, Messiah, the c-minor Mass, Das Lied von der Erde, In the Beginning and contemporary works by Martin Boykan, Edward Cohen, Shulamit Ran, Ruth Lomon, Scott Wheeler, and others. Ms. Dellal was named the inaugural Artist-in-Residence for the Newton Choral Society for the 2002-03 season.
